At the end of the day, reviews and peer to peer recognition is what gets consumers to trust and invest their dollars in companies. Yelp needed to remind lapsed users why it is still the most trusted name in peer reviews, and find a compelling hook to increase brand preference & loyalty.
So, we created a brand campaign that celebrates the pioneers who leave helpful, entertaining and thoughtful reviews, and make Yelp what it is. We highlighted the reviews of beloved local businesses in San Antonio and Austin, and encouraged consumers to follow in their footsteps and Yelp Onward.
Unlike other platforms where reviews consist of a few stars and an adjective or two, Yelp’s in-depth reviews are written by real people aiming to help their friends and neighbors have the best experiences possible.
The campaign reintroduced Yelp with a bold look and fresh sense of humor. Our strategy produced an evergreen brand platform that also perfectly captured our collective urge to re-explore.
